manandvan.delivery ("we", "us") is a directory that connects customers with independent movers and cross-border (UK to EU) carriers. This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it, in line with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Quote requests: your name, email, phone (optional), pickup/drop-off locations, move date, and what you need moved.
- Enquiries to a mover: your name, email, phone, postcodes, date, and message.
- Listings (movers): your trading name, base location, service details, and contact details.
How we use it
- To pass your enquiry or quote request to the relevant mover(s) so they can contact you.
- To publish approved listings in the directory.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Our lawful bases are your consent (when you submit a form) and our legitimate interests in running the directory.
Who we share it with
When you send an enquiry or quote request, the details are shared with the mover(s) you are contacting so they can quote and arrange your move. We do not sell your data. We use a hosting provider and a database to store submissions securely.
Retention
We keep enquiry and quote data for as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Listings are kept while live and for a short period after removal.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to stop processing it. Email privacy@manandvan.delivery. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
